Nassau Broadcasting is pleased to announce that we have recently installed a new state-of-the-art digital transmitter for the 107.5 frequency. This new transmitter allows us to transmit the standard "analog" signal that all FM radios receive which is the FRANK-FM format. However, it also allows us to broadcast two additional HD digital signals on the same 107.5 frequency. HD1, as it is known, is the FRANK format in digital CD quality  sound and the second, HD2, is now the WBYN 1160 AM signal simulcast in digital CD quality sound.

In order to listen to these HD signals you will need a new radio receiver that receives HD multicast signals. This means it will receive not only the HD1 signal but also the HD2 signal.

WBYN is working diligently to partner with area businesses to supply  radios like the Boston Acoustics HD Radio and the RadioShack Accurian Tabletop HD Radio along with others as they become available.

PLEASE NOTE: In order to hear the HD1 and HD2 signals you will need to be in a good reception area. This means that if you are in an area that does not receive the 107.5 signal well then you may need to also purchase an additional antenna and/or RF amp to boost the signal strength.
